Water Leak Causes Temporary Closing

On Friday Jan 22 early in the morning a sprinkler head broke in the rear ceiling of the shop.  Water gushed thru the ceiling in the back room and flooded the entire floor...front and back.  It was flowing out the front door onto High Street.  We reacted as quickly as we discovered it--not knowing the time it really happened--and started sweeping and mopping up water.  Fortunately many things are elevated on risers, and shelving...etc so little to no merchandise suffered damage in the 1/4 to 1/2 in of water that covered the floors.  Rugs were soaked...and taken immediately to professionals for analysis and cleaning--the outcome to be yet determined.  Because the floor in the showroom is a floating laminate floor, it all had to be taken up for drying purposes.  For 3 or so days  many fans and dehumidifiers ran to dry things out.  The bathroom had to be completely gutted.  We await the insurance decision about our new flooring and the timing.  We certainly hope to be open before the February Gallery Hop.  This has been such a shock to both T. David Collection and SAMSON, who shares the space.  We appreciate your continued support....and hope to be up and running ASAP.  We are so thankful for the slower time of year and the fact that we suffered little personal damage through this ordeal.  Don't forget about us!!!

2016 IS HERE

The holiday rush is over and the decorations have been taken down...both here in the shop and I'm sure in many of your homes.  Thank you for your continued support of the shop.  It was good to see so many of you during the shopping season.  If you are feeling down, or feel like your home needs refreshing, then stop by and see what we have that might give the right touch.  As always there is barware...a new hip bar cart in metal and glass as well as some silver plate and other accessories.

READY for the HOLIDAYS

The shop is decorated and ready for the upcoming holiday season.  We took Sunday and Monday to make things festive for you!  It has been 2 months now with the addition of Samson...men's emporium... to the space at 772 N. High.  The reaction has been really great!  We together have a blend of home decor, barware, antiques and casual clothing selections for the modern man.  We are two separate businesses sharing this wonderful space.  We have 2 names, 2 registers, and separate inventory but we blend the items together to create a somewhat unique aesthetic and convenience of shopping.  Many people think that T. David is no longer here. This is disappointing and surprising to me, since (although inventory is a bit less to accomodate the clothing) the shop still has the selection it has always had--a well curated mix of furniture, lamps, art, rugs, barware,  and accessories.  The  overall vibe in the shop  is somewhat different...and pleasing.  The merchandise and quality are all the same!!   The clothing is an enhancement.  You really should come check it out.

Wonderful new bar/serving piece in wood stain and ebonized finish with mirror, pair of vintage metal lamps that have new shades and a fabulous dyed cowhide that really makes a statement.   These are all worth checking out!  The holidays are coming.....

FALL is HERE

Wonderful fall is here....the  beautiful and colorful time of year when our thoughts become focused on the interiors of our homes and upcoming entertaining.  There are many touches that can be added to a current decor to spice it up or lift spirits as the days become shorter.  Maybe it's a new accessory like a pillow, lamp, or ceramic piece.  For entertaining--a new item for the bar could be good.  Maybe a new decanter or a set of glasses, ice bucket, or wine rack.  Guess what??  T. PILLOWS......A Great Accessory Item

Pillows are a great way to add color...texture...and warmth to a room.  They are not a huge investment and can be changed out whenever you feel like it.  They can create or blend with an accent color in your decorating.  Here are several in the shop right now.

CLASSICS......Timeless

Just received a couple classic pieces...One is a vintage wooden book rack.  I've had these before and people love them.  They add a nice touch to a study, library...behind a sofa (or even in a bathroom holding towels).  The other is a three candlestick lamp with metal shade.  This is at home most anywhere...and is in great shape.  There has been lots of traffic in since the merger with SAMSON...and our lifestyle combination of clothing and home decor has been received well.   This week is October Gallery Hop and we hope to be busy.  The weather is changing...and time to think about indoor things....refreshing and redoing for the upcoming season.  Come see what's new.  There is a lot of great barware as well!
