Just a few more days to visit the Parade of Homes in New Albany...and see all the great ideas, and of course items from the shop in the Tuckerman Group home!! A rainy, steamy day here in the village. Quite stormy out.

Wednesday, July 28, 2010

If you vist the 2010 Parade of Homes in New Albany, be sure to pay close attention to the Tuckerman Home Group home. T. David Collection has several items in this home chosen by Michael McKibben, decorator. A beautiful antique marble top table sets the tone in the entry way. Other accessories include a stunning ceramic Tang style horse on the cocktail table, and wicker items in the children's room. So fun to see the merchandise in this setting, and Micheal does a fabulous job of putting it all together. I hear the home is already sold! Enjoy!

Saturday, July 24, 2010

With this hot weather, come in and browse in the air conditioning....upper 90's today. If you are going to the German Village Art Crawl tonight, stop in before 5 and say HI!

Tuesday, July 20, 2010

Lamps do well in the shop, and these new ones are quite unique and good looking.

Here are the new lamps...each interesting......one with wrap shade, one with patterned shade......The tassel style is a pair, very nice and heavy.

Wednesday, July 14, 2010

Several new lamps in the shop...stop in and check them out, and maybe have dinner at Lindeys or G. Michaels during restaurant week, this week (great specials at good prices). July is almost half over....wow!

Wednesday, July 7, 2010

Guess the dog days are here early..in the mid 90's here, but of course the air is on in the shop.... it's nice and cool, and selected items are 25% off.

When painting, especially in a small space think about a monochromatic look--painting trim, walls and ceiling the same color. Suprisingly details still show up, and the space will take on a more modern look, even larger. Then add pops of color or one color in accessories to bring it all together and add personality. Taupes and neutrals for the walls and your favorite accent colors for the accessories...even change them seasonally to keep it interesting and new. A touch of black is always a nice addition as well.

There will be a few pieces from the shop in the Parade of Homes in New Albany in July. I have never done a home before, but am working with Michael Mckibbon, designer of one of the homes, who has chosen some things to use. The wonderful Victorian marble top table will be featured in the entry.

Monday, June 28, 2010

Thanks to all who came out on Sunday....great sale, great tour. Some items are still on sale, at 25% and 50% off. Also will have some items in one of the parade homes this year in New Albany.

Friday, June 25, 2010

Don't miss the sale this Sunday, June 27 from 11-6!! Some things marked 51% some 20% off.....a great chance to get some seasonal decorative items, or maybe even some furniture. Great items, great prices. HOPE TO SEE YOU!

Tuesday, June 22, 2010

Beautiful Armoire with black painted detailing and lots of storage inside, with pull out shelves and drawers. A statement piece, and fully functional!

Great looking yellow gazed Italian horse...in the Tang style, mid century. NICE ACCENT to have!

Saturday, June 19, 2010

A new accent piece in a room can give a whole new look....perhaps a new lamp, or a grouping of decanters on a tray, or something more unexpected like a grouping of small mirrors instead of one large wall piece. Without spending much at all the room is refreshed, and your spirits are lifted. Even just rearranging some furniture pieces can give new life to an old room. The shop is full of items to inspire the imagination and creativity of the novice home decorator...and I'm always willing to share my thoughts and ideas too...for added inspiration.

Thursday, June 17, 2010

Notices have been sent out now for the upcoming sale! Hopefully many of these great items will sell...a couple already have. There is a nice selection of sterling silver and stone jewelry in the shop right now...at really good prices. It is contemporary and stylish, not to mention unique. Definitely worth the looking!

Friday, June 11, 2010

Sold one of my favorite pieces yesterday...a small English chest that is perfect beside a chair. It is going to New Hampshire. I guess it was love at first site for the customer. It was (is) a beautiful little piece. There are not many people out shopping today. I am continuing to get things ready for upcoming sale at the end of the month. Stop in and say HI!

Tuesday, June 8, 2010

Today am starting to get together photos of items that will be on the upcoming sale, June 27, 2010...the day of the 51st Haus and Garten Tour in German Village. The items will be 51% off, in keeping with the theme of this year's tour....and there will be some very good deals. This will be ONE DAY ONLY!! It will include furniture, art, garden, lamps, accessories and hopefully can be done as a street sale.

This picture and article appeared in the Columbus Dispatch under "Shop Talk" May 13 www.columbus dispatch.com
Just getting started with this blog, and hoping to have it visible to those who search. The shop is filled with many unique and wonderful antique furniture pieces, a variety of lamps, mirrors, and lots of accessories that complete a room decor or make great gifts!

There are some pieces of Fostoria glass and ruby flash in the shop, imari, rose medallion, and silver plate....and many new table top items.

This weekend I attended a new antique show in Columbus at the Bridgewater Banquet and Conference Center. It was a very well put together show, with vendors from many states. This particular one was a benefit for hospice. Then I went to several shops in the Powell area to see what was going on in that part of town. All in all a busy weekend in Columbus with the Arts Festival downtown, Murfield Tournament in Dublin, and Gallery Hop in Short North. Columbus can be very exciting!

Today is a day at home to catch up there, and back to the shop tomorrow, Tuesday. Hope to see you in the shop very soon....remember the Haus and Garten Tour is coming up the last Sunday in June, and T.David is planning a sale in honor of the 51st year of the tour. Details to come!!
